The dog ate my computer.
I broke both my hands and couldn't type.
Autumn grounded me from the computer.
We don't get internet access in Memphis anymore...
There are a bunch of reasons I could give you about why we haven't posted in TWO MONTHS, but the only one I can give you is much more simple than you might imagine. We are having a baby.
I can't believe how crazy the last two months have been, but I can imagine how crazy the NEXT two months will be. I wrote my cousin Jerry today and told him that I think I am ready. The knowledge that things will change is not as bad as the anxiety of not knowing HOW they will change and to what extent - that is harder to deal with than anything. That and accept that God has put such a responsibility and opportunity in my lap is amazing.
So, here I am going on and on about how excited we are and, admittedly, I feel a little guilty because of all the displaced refugees only 6 hours south of me. Such destruction and the absolute loss of EVERYTHING - I can't imagine. All it seems I can do is pray for the victims and hope God will provide for them.
On a crazy note, I did read today that RFK, Jr. blamed Hurricane Katrina on the Republican's refusal to sign a CO2 bill... That was amazing. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr/afor-they-that-sow-the-_b_6396.html
Back to baby - Autumn is starting to have contractions. They are not coming and going in any real pattern, but they are coming all the same. SO, we are going to go on a walk tonight to see if we can speed things along. If you don't know what summers in Memphis are like, you surely don't want to know what being pregnant during a summer in Memphis is like! WE have pictures - we keep saying that. I will post them ASAP. Maybe tonight if we aren't at the hospital...
