First Happy Birthday to my hubby. Today the 26th is his birthday.
We know. We are awful parents. We have obviously been absent from the blog for a bit. Okay a long bit, but we are back and settled into a routine that is sure to keep us on top of it now. So what all have you missed. So much, but so as to not overwhelm we will introduce pics and info each day for a bit to fill ya in.
Big news summary about us (as if anyone checks this for news about anyone but Petrea):
We sold our house on University.
We moved to the county.
We have sold the property in South Bluffs.
Chris is settled into his new job at Lausanne and loves it.
Kara started at my law office and is truly a blessing.
The store has transitioned to all baby and kid and going great thanks to Ashley, Ashley, Amy, and Julianna.
Think that is it....
Now on to big news summary for Petrea:
She turned one on September 14th. Amazing right. She has her one year check up this Friday so we will give you the stats on our big girl then.
She is walking. Not full run, but she takes 5 or 6 steps, falls, and stands up starting again.
She has mastered "Daddy", "Dog", "Thank you", "Hello" and just tonight a million times finally "momma".
She blows kisses to the world. Goes "ooohhh" while squeezing with big hugs. She has conquered the rockstar smile and melts folks with it everywhere. She has learned my two claps and then arms open for the time to pick up symbol and the sign for cup when thirsty.
She loves empty drawers and then climbing into them. She has also taken to trying to climb the new stairs. She thanks you everytime you hand her anything and sometimes says "peez" for things, but not enough to say it is official. Hmmm, what else besides she is amazing and amazes us more everyday.
So there is a quick recap. And I will leave you with a teaser pic. I promise pics of the birthday party, including our Bjork spotting, and many more pics. Maybe even the video of her first night of walking that my sweet husband was kind enough to record since I was at Mock Trial.
Thank you all for posting to encourage us to keep this going. We appreciate it and all of the love and support that surrounds our little girl.
Thanks to Uncle Joe for the great shot.
